String Bling

Sustainable and washable statement necklaces.

The thinnest Polished Cotton Twine, when French knitted in my little hand-cranked machine, creates this square tube (a squube?). The crispness of the edges and the definition of each stitch made me think of chain link necklaces straight away, so I gave it a go and here we are.

I call it String Bling, cos there's something hilarious about jewellery made of humble string.
